Our Educational Consultants play a key role in helping young girls gain confidence and competence both in and out of the classroom. As a Girls Moving Forward Educational Consultant, you will provide hands-on tutoring, help facilitate subject-based workshops and lead fun exercises that help build self-confidence and critical thinking in young girls. We are looking for experienced and motivated tutors to help girls achieve their educational goals.
Qualified applicants should have: proficiency in a wide range of disciplines, the ability to communicate ideas effectively and clearly, the ability to work in groups, experience working with kids, and some previous tutoring experience.
Applicants with a strong interest in women’s history and feminist issues, a college degree or equivalent experience and some experience teaching English Language Learners will be prioritized. Women of color are strongly encouraged to apply!
Schedule: This position is part-time (approximately 2-10 hours per week),
afternoon/evening availability is a must.
